Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 3, 2026

This policy is a working draft. It will be finalized with legal counsel before general availability. If you have questions in the meantime, contact us.

1.Who we are

TripDocs (“TripDocs,” “we,” “us”) is a tool that turns your booking confirmations into a single organized itinerary. TripDocs is built and operated by Wayrivo. This policy applies to your use of TripDocs.

2.Information we collect

  • Account information — email address, and any name, phone number, or travel preferences you choose to add to your profile.
  • Travel documents you upload — booking confirmations (PDF, JPG, or PNG) and the itinerary details extracted from them. See Section 3 below.
  • Usage data — pages visited and actions taken within the product, collected to keep the service reliable and improve it.
  • Cookies — used to keep you signed in and to remember your language preference. See Section 8.

3.Your travel documents — how TripDocs handles them

This is the section most people are here for, so we’re putting it up front and in plain language:

  • Documents you upload are used only to build your own itinerary. Nothing more.
  • We never sell your documents or their contents, and we never share them with advertisers or data brokers.
  • A trip is private by default. It’s only visible to people you explicitly invite, or to anyone who has the private share link if you turn link sharing on — you control this from each trip’s Manage → Sharing settings, including an optional 4-digit access code.
  • To read a document, we send it to Anthropic’s Claude API to extract structured details (flight numbers, confirmation codes, dates, and similar). Anthropic processes this only to return the extracted result to us — it is not used to train Anthropic’s models.
  • Uploaded files are stored in a private, access-controlled bucket. They are never publicly indexed or searchable.
  • You can delete a trip, or your entire account and everything in it, at any time from Profile → Security. You can also download a full copy of your data first.

4.How we use information

We use the information above to:

  • Provide, maintain, and secure the service you signed up for;
  • Extract and organize itinerary details from documents you upload;
  • Send account, security, and (if you opt in) product-update emails;
  • Diagnose problems and improve reliability and performance.

5.Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run the service, each processing only what’s needed for their role:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
  • Anthropic (Claude) — reads uploaded documents to extract itinerary details.
  • Google Places — adds photos, ratings, and address details for hotels and activities in your itinerary.
  • Resend — delivers account and trip-invite emails.

6.What we don't do

We don’t sell your personal information or your travel documents. We don’t share them with advertisers. We don’t use them for anything beyond building and operating your itinerary, except where you’ve explicitly shared a trip with someone, or where we’re required to disclose information to comply with the law.

7.Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. Deleting a trip removes its documents and extracted details. Deleting your account (Profile → Security → Delete account) permanently removes your trips, documents, and account details, and cannot be undone.

8.Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you signed in, remember your language preference, and — for trips with an access code — remember that you’ve unlocked one. We don’t use third-party advertising cookies.

9.Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal information at any time from your Profile page. If you’d rather we do it for you, contact us.

10.Children's privacy

TripDocs is not directed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

11.International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside Canada. Where that happens, we rely on those providers’ own safeguards for cross-border data transfer.

12.Changes to this policy

We’ll update the effective date above when this policy changes, and post material changes here before they take effect.
